Monday, Dec 29th 2008. I did my first show at the Lighthouse Cafe on Sanibel Island. This is a quaint little place at the very eastern end of the island, the locals call this “the quiet end of the island” and it is. they have a home made ice cream parlor a a few gift shops and a convenient store in the same plaza and small beach at the end of the road, that’s it.
I was there to DJ a 50th b-day party for the Glasser family who apparently frequent the establishment often. They were a great crowd. They danced and sang straight from 9pm till 12:30. Mike (the Owner) closed his place to the public for the party.
The Lighthouse Cafe boasts “the best breakfast in the world” and they are right I went their today to check it out and it was incredible. Everything from fritatas to omellettes to their own home made preserve. Be sure to check this place out. Also, they are available for private parties and of course
